The project consists of building 71 housing units for students near the Léo Lagrange faculty in Sceaux. The programme also includes the construction of common areas, a study room, a common room, a staff accommodation and ancillary services. Our considerations focused on the careful integration of the project in a district mainly composed of "millstone" detached houses. In this context, the project takes full advantage of the topography to ensure the transition between the domestic scale of the neighbouring houses and that of the R+5 buildings of the adjoining faculty.

The operation is broken down into three distinct volumes in order to reduce its scale and dialogue with the neighbourhood as much as possible. Each entity develops its own brick colour to reinforce this distinction between the parties. The construction follows Low-Energy building standards. The brick is used here for two purposes. It favours the integration of the residence in its environment and also offers a durable covering to the complex of insulation from the outside. DHW panels are integrated into the sloping roof of the west building on the ground floor. This roof houses 30 m² of thermal solar panels in addition to the collective gas boiler system. The terraced roofs are planted to encourage the evapotranspiration of rainwater. This system also provides significant additional insulation and an attractive appearance for the fifth facade seen from the neighbouring apartment building.
